Spidey Cosplay: Spideywu

During my time as a cosplayer I began to meet many awesome and unique people at different events. It was a coincidence to find out that one of my friends from middle school was a Spider-man cosplayer as well. He helped me order my new suit and gave me some ideas about different spider designs. What makes Aaron Sommers Spider-man cosplay unique is that he always incorporates other movies or anime into the suits. I was curious on what made him want to dress up as a superhero.

"Well I actually started on a whim, a few of my coworkers wanted to attend Alamo City Comic Con a few years back" stated Aaron. "We all decided to cosplay different characters and I was slender man". Once Aaron noticed the popularity and excitement it brought people around him, he knew he wanted to keep doing it. He wanted to take cosplay to another level. What made myself curious was why a Spider-man cosplay? Aaron explained " Why Spider-man and the different suits? My reasoning behind the different designs are a little selfish. I want to cosplay the web head and not have to worry about 5 other people rocking the same outfit." He continued to explain that it was a good feeling knowing you are the only one wearing your cosplay.

With so many different suits and new designs that he has worn what advice would he give new or aspiring cosplayers? Aaron explained " it's all about patience. You got to have it. You also have to find a reason that drives you to cosplay and hold on to it. Far too many cosplayers lose their way due to fame. Aaron continues to think of unique designs for his Spider-man suits and is always happy to meet new cosplayers on his adventures.
