Melody Sarah : Cosplayer and Gamer

Becoming a cosplayer has given me the opportunity to meet unique and great people that truly live life to the fullest. Once you become a cosplayer or become friends with one you tend to meet or gravitate to people with the same passion or hobby that you do. Every cosplayer brings their own style and art to whatever character they decide to portray. Melody Sarah is an example of this. I actually met her briefly at Alamo city comic con a few years ago and joined the same cosplay charity group Champions of SA. After awhile we found out we had a lot of mutual friends within the cosplay community. The same question always comes across mind "Why or what attracted you to the world of cosplay and comics"?

Melody explained "I've always loved comics, anime, and everything nerdy. Having the ability to dress as my favorite character was a dream that I made come true". Seeing the different body-paints and outfits she wore to different cons made me wonder what type of comics or art did she prefer. "For the longest I've loved Anime conventions more than comic-cons" she stated. Melody continued to explain " I felt like anime conventions catered to the fans. Comic-cons catered to celebrities". She brought an interesting view between the type of conventions that I never thought of.

Of course seeing her different outfits and designs urged me to ask the timeless question whether she preferred heroes or villains. "My favorite villain will always be the joker. My favorite hero would be Loki" she explained with great enthusiasm. Melody shows a great joy when it comes to cosplay and loves to see people share the same enjoyment. "The advice that I would give to other cosplayers would be to just be yourself. Wear whatever you want!!". It is always fun to meet people with such a passion within this art form. As I mentioned before the cosplay world is for everyone and people like Melody are always welcoming. The added bonus is that you become friends with very unique people.
